At present we offer a safe place to camp at an un-crowded site nestled among native forest and accessed by a well-formed private road. Self-contained vehicles only at this stage, as we provide no facilities other than drinking water. We also run an ecotourism business and a wildlife conservation trust, and our conservation work means that the dawn chorus you will enjoy from your campsite is worth waking early for.
Cost: $10 per person, per night.
Location: 5 km south of the Pancake Rocks, Punakaiki (map here) at the site of Petrel Colony Tours, Night Sky Tours and the Westland Petrel Conservation Trust.
Facilities: Parking site in scenic location, drinking water.
Requirements: Self contained vehicles only.
